Moon Geun Young Prepares for Graduation: Concentrates on Thesis and TOEIC Studies

Actress Moon Geun Young is intensely devoting herself to the final stage of her studies. With her upcoming graduation from Sungkyunkwan University, where she is majoring in Korean literature, she is concentrating all of her strength on her final thesis and Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) studies.

Moon Geun Young, who previously took a leave of absence from school for the filming of "Painter of the Wind," "Cinderella's Sister" and "Marry Me, Mary," has been working to complete the 8 credits remaining for her graduation. Recently, she took her midterms and has now entered preparations for her graduation thesis.

A representative from her agency said, "Student Moon Geun Young is shedding last-minute beads of sweat for her graduation. She is submitting tests and assignments, in addition to preparing her thesis and studying hard at English to obtain a TOEIC score which is an essential requirement to graduate at Sungkyunkwan University." Although each university varies, a TOEIC score of 750 is required at Sungkyunkwan University to graduate.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Moon Geun Young was in discussions to star in Heo Jin Ho's historical film "Princess Deok Hye" for her next project . Yet the screenplay for it is still incomplete. Although Moon Geun Young and her agency Namoo Actors do have the project deep in mind, it was revealed that a final decision cannot be made until the screenplay is complete. The possibility of Moon Geun Young's appearance in other dramas or films has thus been left open. Currently, director Heo Jin Ho’s film "Dangerous Liaisons," which has been invited to the "Director's Fortnight" at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival, has been selling out in China.

Last March, Moon Geun Young shared her thoughts on MBC's drama "The King 2Hearts" on her cyworld mini homepage and even talked about her graduation. She wrote, "Ha Ji Won unni is so awesome, my heart is bursting, sincerely envious and cool, I respect her." She revealed her thirst for acting as she further wrote, “Wait until I get discharged (graduate from university). That I decided."
