'Korea's Little Sister' Moon Geun Young, is a serious lady

Moon Geun Young just updated her mini homepage with 2 pieces of selca.

The first selca -in black and white- showed the 25-year-old actress wore a glasses.

She looked so mature and like a serious college girl. It seemed that this Korea’s most adored little sister is growing up becoming an elegant lady.

It would be interesting if she plays her next role wearing that glasses.

The photos are nice, especially the one without glasses. You have a natural beauty that does not require paint and props. From your "Bear" letter, I ask your forgiveness for reading into the meaning of what you meant to convey to your fans. You appear to be torn over what your future holds for you. Do not let this distress you. Follow your heart in everything you do. If you make film...you should love acting. If you teach...you should love teaching. The best work anyone can have is when you wake up and you are anxious to start because you love being there. Be happy, Moon. DO WHAT YOU LOVE.

  4. Yah, I am hoping to hear good news about her and Lee Seung Gi can act in new drama together, since they are well known as Korea's national sister and brother.

  5. From Anonymous,
Another beautiful photograph from the fan website...Film 2.0. Photo #5 of 9. This is the smug expression of someone who has just checkmated an opponent in a game of chess. Intellectual superiority at its finest! I love it when a photo tells a silent story. Very nice photo, Moon...very nice.

For ADMIN and all you Moonies out there: where do I find copies of Moon's films or where on the internet can I access and view them? Netflix has "Innocent Steps" and "Autumn In My Heart". Does this website have a listing of all her work and availability? I will respond to all who contribute and help me with this. I will be in Lake Tahoe for two days so I will respond when I return. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

P.S. Have a nice day Moon.

Admin? Anyone out there? Back from 2 days at Lake Tahoe and no response. I will have to locate them all without assistance. Spent 6 hours in a cafe on wi-fi watching "The Painter of the Wind" (5 episodes) in Incline Village. Why was I not out snorkeling, you ask? Because I really do want to see ALL of Moon's work. I found a website called Drama Fever where you can watch at no cost if you can tolerate the advertising. If they have more than this work I may go ahead and pay the $99 to dispense with the ads. For now I will say "I am astonished at Moon's ability to elicit feelings and memories with such a wide range of emotions in her acting". More on that later. In the next week I will see all the remaining episodes. Then watch again those that beg for comments. The outhouse scene in episode one is an example. As a hobby, I also look for errors in film. Trivia for all you true Moon fans out there: There is a prop used in the first 5 episodes that could not possibly have existed in the 1700s! What is it?
Moon, I am impressed. So far...very nice work.

Starting Episode 16 of "The Painter of the Wind" tonight. The twists and turns in the story line hold my attention in a big way. Moon is beautiful as a gaesang. IF I were a nobleman of that era, I would not hesitate to buy her at any cost. Can hardly wait to see the rest of the episodes.

  9. From Anonymous,
Finished "The Painter of the Wind" 20th episode tonight. I was going to do a thorough critique, however, there appears to be a complete lack of enthusiasm and involvement in discussing Moon's work. That is so sad because she deserves so much more. In the previous post, I said I would not hesitate to buy Moon if she were a gaesang. I must retract that statement because it is so against my beliefs. "Owning" anyone is detestable to me (even for that era). All persons must be free to choose their life's path. As for Moon going on to graduate school to earn a PhD (I read that in another post) that is a highly personal decision that would require significant time out of her life. I have no doubt she has the brains for it, I would question the necessity of it. If she will not work in that area of study, what is the point? Well, back to my life and on to other actors and actresses. Hoping to find a blog where others will actually talk with you.
For Moon, good luck to you for your career in acting.
